With more homes predicted to hit the auction market following the expiration of the foreclosure moratorium, new survey results suggest that most consumers would weigh the option of buying a home at auction. That’s according to a press release from digital mortgage service provider ServiceLink.
Among 3,000 U.S. consumers surveyed online by Harris Poll on behalf of ServiceLink, 62% said they would consider buying a home at auction and 10% said they already have purchased a home on the auction market.
Miriam Moore, president of default services at ServiceLink, said in a statement that “buying homes at auction will become more mainstream as consumers look to buy quickly and at competitive pricing.”
