Ex-UWM Employees Claim Harassment in Lawsuits

Former United Wholesale Mortgage underwriters have filed a pair of lawsuits against the mortgage lender over claims of retaliation, hostile workplace environment, gender/sexual harassment and wage theft. So reports The Mortgage Note.

UWM 150x150One of the complaints was filed on behalf of Kassandra Memmer, who had a doctor’s note prescribing a leave of absence to protect her health and the health of her unborn child, and the other was filed by her partner, Jackson, who claims he was fired while he was on paternity leave.

The lawsuits follow an article outlining accusations against UWM from about 30 current and former employees. The company disputes the report.
