Commercial Real Estate Largely Keeps Booming Despite Delta

Much of the commercial real estate market is continuing a surge that began last year, even in the face of the rising Delta variant of COVID-19. So reports the Richmond (Va.) Times-Dispatch.

percent 997401 640 small 300x300Interest rates for 5- and 10-year loans backed by conservatively leveraged properties remain super low, between about 2.75% and 3%, according to a national survey by investment bank John B. Levy & Co.

Lower interest rates have also led to lower capitalization rates and thus more predictable income streams for apartments nationwide, based on second-quarter data from commercial real estate brokerage CBRE.
