Mortgage Demand Fizzles, But Could See Boost as Rates Drop

Although appetite for mortgages wavered in the most recent weekly survey, demand will likely revive soon as the Russian invasion of Ukraine impacts interest rates. So reports CNBC.

But mortgage rates generally track the yield on the U.S. 10-year Treasury, and yields have dropped since investors poured into the bond market, prompted by the war in Ukraine.
