Mortgage Rates Edge Lower for First Time in Seven Weeks

U.S. long-term mortgage rates have paused their nearly two-month climb but remain unaffordably lofty for many homebuyers. So reports the Associated Press.

The modest week-over-week decline came as the Federal Reserve kept its key interest rate steady, driving down bond yields.
