Mortgage Rates Fall Most Since Start of the Pandemic

Long-term mortgage rates have posted their sharpest weekly decline since early in the pandemic. So reports Bloomberg.

arrow 98577 1280The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 5.10% in the week ending May 26, down 15 basis points from the week before, according to Freddie Mac.

Despite the largest drop since April 2020, rates remained up solidly from their year-end 2021 reading of 3.11%.
