Mortgage Rates Inch Down for Third Straight Week

U.S. long-term mortgage rates have edged lower for a third consecutive week. So reports CNN.

arrow down icon 157360 1280According to Freddie Mac, the average on the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage was 6.67% in the week ending June 22, compared with 6.69% a week earlier and 5.81% a year ago.

The downward drift came amid robust housing data and followed the Federal Reserve’s pause after 10 straight rate hikes.
