Mortgage Rates Post Fifth Weekly Decline in a Row

U.S. long-term mortgage rates have fallen for a fifth consecutive week. So reports CNN.

arrow 98577 1280According to Freddie Mac, the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 7.22% as of November 30, compared with 7.29% a week earlier and 6.49% a year earlier.

Jiayi Xu, an economist at, told CNN that investors seem to have stopped its interest rate hikes, which tend to influence mortgage rates.
