Mortgage Rates Tick Up for Second Week in a Row

U.S. long-term mortgage rates have edged upward for a second consecutive week. So reports MReport.

Freddie Mac 150x150The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 6.43% in the week ending April 27, up from 6.39% the previous week and 5.1% a year ago, according to Freddie Mac.

Nevertheless, Freddie Mac economist Sam Khater projected that mortgage rates will “gently decline” the rest of this year as inflation moderates.
