Mr. Cooper Restores Some Systems After Disruptive Cyberattack

Mr. Cooper has brought at least some of its systems back online after a cyberattack that disrupted customers' access to its online payment portal for more than a week. So reports FOX Business.

Mr cooper 150x150The mortgage servicer said the cyberattack took place October 31 and prompted it to block access to its systems temporarily as a protective measure.

The company didn’t directly comment on the nature of the attack, telling FOX Business, “At this time, we believe this cybersecurity incident was isolated to some Mr. Cooper systems and technology and did not affect any of the company’s clients’ or partners’ systems and technology.”
