Rocket Mortgage Moves to Reverse $9.7M Appraisal Ruling

Rocket Mortgage has called on a federal appeals court to quash a $9.7 million judgment in a class action suit over the lender’s appraisal practices. So reports NEXT Mortgage News.

Rocket LoansRocket also asked the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals to decertify the class action, which dates back more than a decade.

The original complaint alleged that then-Quicken Loans inflated appraisal values of almost 3,000 properties refinanced in West Virginia between 2004 and 2009.
