Veritex Bank Buys 49% of Thrive Mortgage for $53.9M

The holding company for Dallas-based Veritex Community Bank is spending $53.9 million in cash for a 49% stake in Georgetown, Texas-based Thrive Mortgage. So reports The Dallas Morning News.

VeritexVeritex Holdings said the deal with the family-owned mortgage lender will also give it a seat on Thrive’s board of directors.

The transaction would close by mid-year pending regulatory OKs.
