Big Brother Alum Sued By Three State AGs Over Mortgage Scam

Amanda Zachman, a former contestant on popular reality show Big Brother, and the Florida-based real estate business she founded, MV Realty, have been hit with lawsuits by state attorneys general in Florida, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts for allegedly scamming homeowners. So reports Metro Philadelphia.

Big BrotherAccording to the allegations, MV Realty targets low-income homeowners with an offer of cash in exchange for an agreement that MV Realty would be the listing agent whenever the homeowner decides to sell the property.

Allegedly, the hastily signed contracts award MV Realty hefty termination fees, which it enforces by taking out mortgages on the properties, unbeknownst to the homeowners. The company told Metro it has not conducted unfair or deceptive practices.
