Repeat Offender Gets Six to Eight Years for Mortgage Scam

An Oxford, Mass. man who previously served a two-year state prison sentence for a mortgage fraud scheme has pleaded guilty and been sentenced to serve six to eight years in state prison for a similar scam.

jail 1287943 1280Allen Seymour, 53, pleaded guilty to 20 counts including forgery in connection with a scheme to defraud homeowners and mortgage lenders by providing fraudulent documents in legal and real estate transactions, according to the state's attorney general Maura Healey.

Seymour pleaded guilty to a previous mortgage scam in 2010.
