Real estate technology firm Voxtur has announced that it will offer an attorney opinion letter as an alternative to title insurance on mortgages backed by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Voxtur said the new product is a response to October 12 updates to the federal agency’s VA Lenders Handbook addressing the use of attorney opinion letters around title insurance.
“A Voxtur AOL can save a borrower, now including veterans, as much as an entire mortgage payment in some cases,” Voxtur’s chief legal officer, Stacy Mestayer, said in a staement.
