Wells Fargo Lays Off Home Lending Employees

Wells Fargo has started laying off workers in its home lending department. So reports Banking Dive.

wells fargo 150x150Although the bank did not disclose the number of employees affected, markets hit by the cuts apparently include Phoenix; San Antonio; Minneapolis; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Des Moines, Iowa.

“The home lending displacements this week are the result of cyclical changes in the broader home lending environment,” Wells Fargo said in a statement.
