UWM Employees Attend Golf’s Rocket Mortgage Classic

Around 20 employees from competitor United Wholesale Mortgage unexpectedly turned up on the second day of the Rocket Mortgage Classic golf tournament. So reports the Detroit Free Press.

UWM 150x150The UWM attendees’ blue company polo shirts featured a patch on the sleeve that read “#1 mortgage lender in the nation.”

UWM’s Mat Ishbia and Rocket’s Dan Gilbert have a well-known rivalry that has grown increasingly visible since UWM overtook Rocket last year as the U.S. loan originations leader.
